Obviously you don’t want to hurt innocent animals, just stop them being a nuisance to you, which is why these cat deterrent strips are so good. They’ve been designed to fix to the top of your garden fences, gates and walls …and to make fitting really easy, they can be screwed, nailed or stuck in place.
Intended as a deterrent to animals and unwelcome human intruders, they’re designed to cause maximum discomfort with minimum harm to anyone or anything attempting to climb over them. The spikes intentionally, do not come to a perfect point (there is a tiny flat area at the top of each spike), so they won’t penetrate the skin, but they are certainly uncomfortable to grip or to put your weight on, so effectively discourage all unwelcome visitors!

Please however do not confuse these genuine Prikka Strips (hinged design strips for maximum versatility), with inferior imitations which although cheaper to manufacture, are still typically sold at a higher price. These are the guaranteed to be the genuine article and as well as being an effective cat deterrent, they are also recommended by the police (Beat the Burglar) for use on fences and walls at domestic properties, as a deterrent to burglars and other unwelcome intruders.

From just £1.95 per square metre coverage, Anti Intruder Security Paint is a low cost way to deter unwelcome intruders from your property.
Typically applied to walls, fences, roof edges and ridge tiles, drainpipes, etc. anti climb paint is a non setting petroleum gel based paint.
Normally, security paint is only available in “Black”, but at Insight Security, they also carry “Grey” in stock and can supply it in a range of alternative colours to special order (minimum volume order applies for special colours)

Originally conceived for use at drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres, a number of councils are now specifying Roller Barrier for use in schools in preference to anti climb spikes, and the system is also installed at various secure mental health care units as well as young offender institutions.
